I have set up my hometheater pc as a media server for the playstation 3 and have many tv shows on that server. When I watch on the PS3 it will play one episode, then at the end of that episode it will just stop instead of continuing on to the next episode (file). Is there a kind-of "play all" feature for the PS3 when watching from a media server? Thanks be to all.

nope there's no way to do that because each file exists on it's own. you can't do that even with videos on the ps3 if you think about it.

Im having trouble with sharing my media with my ps3 with my computer. Is the ps3 even compatible with windows vista like the xbox 360 is. Because the xbox 360 can detect a windows media player library from windows vista so can ps3 do the same?

did you enable sharing in media player 11? personally i prefer to stream with the tversity media server

I was thinking of buying Playstation 3 for my sone. Since different brands can be played on the Wii, is the same true with playstation 3? Can playstation 2 games be played on playstation 3?

First off, I think your son will highly enjoy the PS3 system, because I know I sure have. The answer to your question is some. The first models of the PS3s that first came out were the 20 and 60gb versions, they are now discontinued but they both come with backwards compatibility to play PS1 and PS2 games. If you can find a 60gb PS3 that is in good shape, it is a good purchase, they are the best PS3's to date. The 20gb PS3 is highly unrecommended as it has very little space and would run out in the future. Then there was the 40gb version that came out along with the 80gb version to replace the older two models, the 40gb version only offered backwards compatibility for SOME PS1 games, but no PS2 games, and the 80gb version offered compatibility for PS1 and PS2 games, both consoles are discontinued. Now there is only an 80gb version that offers no backwards compatibility except for the PS1. The limited 160gb version is the same. Just look at it this way, if the console has 4 USB Ports, it is backwards compatible for PS2 games; that is no joke either. If you want to see it in writing, it says on the box on the side and back.

1.How can i use the web like a computer. I know how you can use the keyboard but can you use a USB mouse?

2.How can you make it the internet is as fast as a laptop wireless internet if i can?

there is no difference
the silver ps2’s are released as limited editions ( like the pink ones)
main reason is for consumers to have a choice on what would suit thier homes better, or which they would prefer.
Both the black and the silver slims run the same there is no difference.

I have a ps3 but i don’t know much about the trophies. I was wondering what games have them and how to get them. Also when is playstation home coming out and how do you get it.

okay for part one, not all games on the ps3 have trophies, games like warhawk, grand theft auto 4, rock band 2 are 3 that i know of right now. i have heard of a few other games like drakes uncharted has them, if i knew the list i would gladly inform you. now for part two. there is no CONFIRMED date for the OPEN BETA TRIAL or RELEASE DATE of if. Sony has been pushing for it to be released quarter 4 of 08, which in the time frame it has till the end of December. the only thing i know about HOME is that annual Qore members and a few other lucky people (grits teeth) received private invites to the closed beta of HOME.

Yes, there are legit systems out there, but they require you to do offers and get referrals. How else are the freebie sites supposed to offer free stuff away without you at least doing something?

On one hand, the PS3 is more money, and getting it for free would be a good deal, but there's no good games until Grand Theft Auto and Metal Gear Solid, if they come back to the PS3 that is. The Wii is more fun though, and the games are better. What would you do?

I would get a ps3 for a number of reasons.
1. It has more games, almost all of the games the wii has, (except the mario games).
2.The Wii's controllers (I think) are hard to control.
3.You could get the ps3, then sell it, have enough to get a wii AND have over $300 left to buy games or whatever.
4.The only thing the Wii has that the ps3 doesn't have, is the mario games and the numchucks.
5. To SOME people the Wii has better graphics, then the ps3 which I don't think is true, and you can get any game for ps3 and some that you cant get for gamecube, (GTA, eye toy, ect)
